While I usually think Rachel McAdams can get away with anything, I’m not sure “anything” includes that hair.  Maybe the idea was let’s go lowkey glamour on the dress but sky high and blonde on the hair.  Regardless of the reasoning, it doens’t work.  The gown is lovely but a little too sedate for a potential blockbuster-y premiere.  Also, I feel like it’s a shadow of a gown Penelope wore.  So to recap, Rachel?  Still love just not like this.

Models don’t usually merit a place in COTS because they’re semi-celebrities.  I’m not sure what Elizabeth Hurley is anymore because she doesn’t really model and she’s never been able to act.  But I liked this winter wonderland look so much that I had to include it.  This is what SJP should have worn last week.  Even if you go faux, the fur vest is  a great way to winter up a gown while keeping things sexy.

CZ-J may not be redefining fashion but she always put on a solid show.  This black gown with all the below the waist details is perfect for her Broadway opening, where too much glitz would be all “Look at me, I won an Oscar!”

How this dress doesn’t succumb to gravity is a miracle of tailoring and physics.  It’s rather ho-hum without even some major jewelry to jazz it up.  But the bob bothers me too – it’s too harsh a look for someone so va-va-va-voom.

This dress looks like it’s a made of cobwebs and magical threads.  It’s so modern yet elegant and together with the blunt bangs and red lips, it’s one of the most original looks I’ve seen in a long time.

It is a coat?  A cape?  A hybrid of the two?  There’s a lot of bare skin for winter but Vicks isn’t going to let a little thing like weather hold her back.

This is how you become a fashion icon.  Yeah, it’s another metallic dress but it’s so much more.  Zoe goes for 40’s glamour (the hair, the silhoutte) but with a modern twist in the shoulders.  It’s a perfect look for someone who’s on the rise and wants to be noticed but without going over the top.

Oh Annie, why do you insist in torturing me with your bad choices?  I always dislike half-dresses.  You either go with one idea (strapless) or another (mini-sleeve) otherwise you look schizophrenic.  What’s worse is that neither situation looks good and all we’re left with is saggy draping and big buttons.  By the time I get down to the shoes, I’m too depressed to care.  Maybe there’s therapy for this kind of fashion illness.  Or at least, medication.

It’s like the Triple Crown of hotness.  Whatever your flavor, you’ll find something to your taste in this picture.  Angelina looks radiant, as always.  Brad looks less homeless than usual, because the tux cancels out the goatee from hell.  And George, well, he’s George Clooney, the real life version of Don Draper.

After a few horrible choices, I’m actually thrilled that Julianne went safe.  Yeah, there’s nothing especially right about this but considering what she’s been wearing lately, there’s nothing wrong with it either.
