This Week in Celebrity Fashion: Bold Beauties

4 08 2013

I love a LBD or a Valentino gown but there is something to be said for throwing caution out the window on your way to the red carpet.  Calculated choices that push the boundaries are what stars should be wearing.

If you’re going to rock a bold print, then you need to go hard.  Diane’s seemingly mismatched prints actually complement each other, with the same color palette, while the asymmetrical hem adds even more edge.

After allegedly beating up her BF, Emma goes a dark, diva look that actually suits her.  I like the drama of the skirt – which retains a great silhouette.  The hair and makeup give her a grown up look.  Hopefully, her behavior will improve along with her fashion sense.

Balmain is always right on the edge of out there and Kate’s embellished demin mini is the couture chic at its best.  I love the detail and the criss-crossing material on the barely there skirt.

Paula’s sweet smile is completely at odds with her very sexy gown.  It’s not so much the design itself as the body poured into it.  Bet that gives Robin lots to sing about.

This look definitely made me go “wow.”  I love the colorblocking on the sheer top and paired with shorts, this makes for a fun summer look.  The thigh-highs seem a little too aggressive for Lily – I could see Victoria Beckham pulling this off – but it’s quite a way to stand out.

Think you’re looking at a sweet summer dress?  Think again.  The little slices of sheer paneling really spice things up.

I love a good play on animal print so JHud’s top is something I would wear.  The overall sassiness of this look is enhanced with the shorts and those seriously S&M heels.
