This Week in Celebrity Fashion: Splash of Color

15 09 2013

As much as I could obsess about LBD’s, it’s always a welcome break to see some color and florals on the red carpet.

MARCHESA Spring 2014 Runway Show

I wasn’t excited about fall’s moto jackets until I saw this one.  I love the contrast between tough and pretty, all “hey, I’m a girl but I’ll kick your ass.”  Cute with the skirt and probably better with leggings, jeans or a pencil skirt.

A Julia sighting on the red carpet is like seeing a comet.  For this rare outing, red makes a great statement and the mini is legs for days but the top half of the dress fits a little oddly.

I’m not much for high school math but this kind of geometry I like.  Loving the different shades of pink and the perfect cut of Sandy’s sheath.

Can you believe that Little Miss Sunshine is all grown up?  I love the youthful attitude of pairing a gorgeous gown with an age-appropriate jean jacket.  Fun, playful and a great way to let everyone know that you’re legally blonde.

This is what happens when you’re out of the public eye for too long and take styling tips from Steven Tyler and Keith Richards.  Michelle looks ridiculously amazing for 55 but the outfit itself is just ridiculous.

Sydney Theatre Company 2014 Season Launch

I don’t need an excuse to love a crazy print and Cate’s dress is right up my alley.  Is it an abstract?  Is there a story?  Who knows?  It’s an acid trip worth taking.

Reese looks really good in this simple yet sexy floral but it’s the unexpected green pumps that make this look come alive.
