This Week in Celebrity Fashion, Part I: Flora & Fauna

6 08 2017

Lupita is all about that plant life, bringing the Amazon to the red carpet.

Jenny’s fantastic top is so perfect for end of summer.

I am obsessed with Elisabeth’s amazing bouquet of a dress.

This dress is its own garden party.

This Week in Celebrity Fashion, Part III: Because the Night

A pretty gown but a little…unsupportive.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the LFW Nirav Modi store launch in London

This must be Rosie channeling Rihanna.

Vanity Fair & SAKS Fifth Avenue International Best Dressed List

Navy’s not usually my jam but this dotty dress works for me.

National Geographic's "Years Of Living Dangerously" New Season World Premiere

I think America’s fierceness is out of control here.  Hair, makeup, dress – it’s all on fire.

This Week in Celebrity Fashion, Part II: Printed

I love a bold design that plays with color.

This is the kind of dress I’d expect royalty to rock.

This Week in Celebrity Fashion, Part III: Summer Coverage

15 06 2014

'How To Train Your Dragon 2' Los Angeles Premiere

Summer doesn’t necessarily mean going full Kardashian.  It’s lovely to see some gorg covered up looks like America’s.

'How To Train Your Dragon 2' Australian Premiere

This looks like a dress for a very fashion forward five year old.

2014 Tony Awards - Arrivals

Kate’s mini looks hot and heavy – but not in the good way.  I know the Tony Awards are a tough crowd but full body armor isn’t necessary.

Sometimes, even SJP just calls it an early night and steps out in a nightie.

Jessica looks like a slightly naughty 50’s pinup.

I don’t know what kind of deal with the devil Angela Bassett made but this 55 year old makes girls half her age look sad.

New mom Kerri goes for a modern art inflected look that’s a lovely burst of orange.

This Week in Celebrity Fashion, Part II: Summer Bright

AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute To Jane Fonda - Pre-Show And Dinner

While the color’s great, Sandy’s gown is a little sloppy in its cut.

I always like seeing green on the red carpet and this pea soup colored concoction is quite lovely, with its unexpected details.

Spike TV's "Guys Choice 2014" - Backstage And Audience

The world needs more purple metallic.  And that’s not just Prince’s opinion.  I’m also loving Cam’s eye makeup.

'How to Train Your Dragon 2' Press Tour at CBS3 Philly

Summery without being too sweet, I love America’s sassy look.

Stella McCartney Spring 2015 Presentation

I don’t quite understand Amber’s mini, which looks more like an art installation than a dress.  But, I like the blend of fabrics and the happy way she carries it off.  Try not to get any of it caught on that monster rock!

Just…more of this.  How great are these colors blended together, just like a summer vaca rendered in fabric.

United Fabrics of America

25 01 2009

america-ferrera-sag-awards-2009-04Obviously, the theme is pantyhose.  The dress is beige pantyhose (or tan, if you’d like) with some black tights across the top.  Maybe it’s a recycling thing?

Kinda, maybe, sorta

12 01 2009

Love the dress – looks like Mom taught Rumer well.  But the hair could have been a little less…Carrot top?

Pretty dress but not high wattage enough.

Amazing dress for her body but why the color of the dust under my couch?

Very elegant look except for the crazy tranny eyes.

I would think that breaking up with Marilyn Manson would make a girl chipper.  Even though the dress is too old for her as is the scowl on her face, it’s better than Marilyn as an accessory.

It’s hard to be classy with a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe on your arm but Foxy definitely tries.  Her face looks flawless and she pulls off her Jolie lite attempt.

It’s a pretty, light dress, just a crap color.  Looks like she took a class at the Cameron College for Accessorizing because the clutch/ring combo pop!

An unusual dress that comes with its own jazz hands but too old for Melissa.

A little sedate for a double winner.  Her face looks amazing but the dress doesn’t live up to the night.

I don’t know why I love this dress so much – maybe it’s the unusual animal print combined with the shoulder bow, but it’s just special.   It’s just not right for Mags.

miley-cyrus-golden-globes-2009-05Surprisingly sweet, age-appropriate and even unique.
